We are awakening to glistening frost in the mornings now, the days are getting shorter, and the trees are preparing for their long winter rest. Saying goodbye to summer always makes me a bit melancholy, but with the change in season comes a new winter landscape and a welcome quiet. I enjoy taking photos when the air is crisp and cool, but I don’t do it often enough because I am usually quick to seek refuge inside our nice, warm home.
When I met a new friend last winter (the kind that makes you feel like you’ve known each other for years) and I learned about her small business, I was instantly intrigued. My friend crochets a variety of women’s and children’s accessories for her etsy shop called The Yarnival. She creates fingerless arm warmers (known around my home as my “shooting gloves”) which are perfect for keeping hands and wrists warm while leaving your fingers free to change lenses, adjust settings, and operate your camera. Take a moment to check out the selection of styles and colors at The Yarnival. Two lucky winners will be able to win a pair of their own arm warmers!
To enter to win a pair of your own arm warmers, just follow these two simple steps:
1) “Like” Amy Lucy Photography on Facebook.
2) Leave a comment below indicating which pair of arm warmers you would choose if you win. (Visit The Yarnival to see the selection of styles and colors.)
For one extra entry:
1) Pin the image of the arm warmers above to Pinterest and leave a comment below letting me know that you pinned it.
For a 10% off any order at The Yarnival through noon on October 22, 2012 use coupon code AMYLUCYPHOTO.
Please note: Entries will be accepted until 12:00 PM Central time on October 22, 2012. Winners will be contacted via email. The winners will receive one pair of arm warmers in a color of their choice (must be in stock) at The Yarnival etsy store. No cash value and no substitutions. This contest is not being conducted through Facebook.
UPDATE: Congratulations to Christy Fulmer and Doreen Scherf! Leah from The Yarnival will be in touch to get you your new pair of arm warmers! Thanks so much.
