Letters to Our Daughters | June 2012

I am participating in Letters to Our Daughters with several other talented photographers and mothers. We may live in very different places and lead very different lives, but we have several ties that bind us. We are all photographers and bloggers, and we have daughters whom we adore. We express our love for our daughters in photographs and letters and share them in a circle of links on the 25th day of each month. Next, please visit the blog of my very sweet friend Sarah Cornish | Colorado Photographer.

Julia - I love this, Amy! What a wonderful memory to share with your girls (and I, too, loved Strawberry Shortcake dolls when I was a little girl…I was even Huckleberry Pie for Halloween one year! I recently bought Wren a set of “vintage” Strawberry Shortcake dolls on Ebay…perhaps you should look for some too!). Beautiful images of your special day <3ReplyCancel

Kirsty-Abu Dhabi - I think what I love most about your letters Amy, is the way you so beautifully weave the past, present and future into them – you’re creating the most wonderful treasured memories for your girls, and for all the past and future women of your family – real treasures…ReplyCancel

Jody - Amy, I agree with Kirsty, I love how you seamlessly weave time into your posts. I think because of this it will make these letters even more special to your girls when they read these in the future. The strawberry picking is such a classic timeless thing to do too and your girls are adorable.ReplyCancel

Rashmi - What exquisite photos Amy!! Sigh. And your words, your story telling. I can just see your girls reading these letters when they are older.. and just knowing deep in their heart how much their mama loved them when they were little girls. I love how you tell them about your childhood.. just perfect. xoReplyCancel
